Internet and other electronic activity information, such as Internet Protocol (IP) address, the browser or device used to access the website / e-Newsletter, the device operating system, information about our e-Newsletter or other websites you visited that directed you to our website, and the pages on our website that you view. We may collect this information when you browse our website or read our e-Newsletter.

Commercial information, such as the name and address information you share when you pay for your groceries by check at Koma Media Company stores.

Where Does Koma Media Company Get This Personal Information?

Koma Media Company collects the personal information described above directly from you. We also use select data collection technologies (like cookies) to collect the internet and other electronic activity information described above.

How Does Koma Media Company Use Your Personal Information?

How Does Koma Media Company Disclose Personal Information?

  • Over the last 12 months, in order to achieve the purposes listed above, we may have disclosed each category of your personal information listed above to the following recipients:

To companies or individuals with whom we contract to receive services. These service providers help us maintain our databases, process your payments, gather analytics, and prepare and distribute the Fearless Flyer and e-Newsletter. We require that our service providers do not use or disclose your personal information for any reason other than the services they are providing to us and do not use or store your personal information for other purposes.

To third parties when we believe it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, enforce our legal rights, or to protect our customers or Crew Members.

What Are Cookies and Tracking Technologies?

When you interact on our website, we receive and store certain information in the form of Internet “cookies.”

Cookies are stored on your hard drive in the form of a text file. They are not harmful or tasty but can help us understand how people use our website and provide targeted information about products and pricing. Most of the cookies we use are “session cookies,” meaning that they are automatically deleted as soon as you close your browser. We also may use “persistent” cookies, which do not expire when you close your browser. Don’t worry, though—you can remove them by following the directions provided in your Internet browser’s “help” menu.

Most web browsers can be set to inform you when a cookie has been sent to you and provide you with the opportunity to refuse that cookie. Refusing a cookie will generally not interfere with your use of our website. However, refusal of a cookie may, in some cases, preclude you from using or negatively impact the display or function of our website or certain areas or features of our website.

We do NOT use cookies or other technologies to track your surfing behavior before or after leaving the Koma Media Company website. We have better things to do.

A couple additional things about our use of tracking technologies:

Third Party Analytics. We use third parties, such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics, to evaluate usage of our website. We may also use other analytic means to evaluate and improve our website and your experience. These entities may use cookies and other tracking technologies to perform their services. You can learn more about how Adobe uses this information, here, and Google, here.

How We Respond to Do Not Track Signals. Some web browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) or similar feature that signals to websites that a user does not want to have his or her online activity and behavior tracked. If a website that responds to a particular DNT signal receives the DNT signal, the browser can block that website from collecting certain information about the browser’s user. Not all browsers offer a DNT option and DNT signals are not yet uniform. For this reason, many digital service operators, including Koma Media Company, do not recognize or respond to DNT signals.

When you make a request to access or delete your information, we must verify your identity to safeguard your personal information (always our aim). We will ask for your name, e-mail address, and/or phone number to match against any information in our systems. You can also submit requests through an agent that you have authorized in writing to act on your behalf. Your agent will need your written and signed permission that they are authorized to act on your behalf.
